How should I use the products?

Helena Olsson
You've found products you like. Good. But are you using them the right way? The difference between "it works okay" and "my skin/hair has never looked this good" often comes down to a few simple habits. We've gathered what we've learned from thousands of customers and our own team. No gimmicks, just what actually works.

Always start clean

It sounds obvious but it's the most common mistake we see. Active ingredients need direct access to your skin or scalp - they shouldn't have to fight through layers of product build-up, sebum and dirt. Wash with lukewarm water (not hot - that dries you out) and use a gentle cleanser before applying your products. It makes all the difference.

Less product, more rinsing

We see it all the time: people use too much product, don't rinse properly, and wonder why their skin feels heavy or their hair falls flat. Our products are concentrated. 1-2 pumps is enough for the face, 2-3 for the scalp. Try starting with less than you think you need. You can always add more, but it's harder to take it back. And rinsing - it's just as important as the product itself. If you don't rinse out shampoo and conditioner thoroughly, residue stays behind and makes your hair feel greasy fast or never quite clean. Less is more works both ways: less product and more rinsing.

Order matters

Thinnest to thickest - that's the basic rule. Serums and water-based products first, then oils and creams. The reason is simple: thin products can't penetrate through thicker layers.

For the face: Cleanser → Serum → Face oil → Moisturiser (if you use one)

For hair: Shampoo → Rinse (thoroughly!) → Conditioner on the lengths → Leave for 5–10 min → Rinse → Hair serum on the scalp (don't rinse out) → Then oils if you use any

You can also double-shampoo if you like - just use less product each time so you can rinse it out properly. Our hair serums are water-based and absorb quickly, so they're always applied last after washing. Massage into the scalp with your fingertips - this stimulates blood circulation and helps the ingredients absorb. Don't rinse them out.

Give it time

Here's the boring truth nobody wants to hear: skincare and haircare take time. Cell turnover takes roughly 28 days. That means you need to use a product for at least 4-6 weeks before you can judge whether it's working for you. We know that takes patience. But the customers who stick with it always see the best results. Set a phone reminder if you need to.

Evening routine > morning routine

If you can only manage your routine once a day - pick the evening. Your skin repairs itself most during the night, and active ingredients applied before bed have hours to work without interference from sun, wind and makeup. This goes for the hair serum too. Apply to a clean scalp after your evening shower, massage in with your fingertips, and let it work while you sleep. Since it's water-based it absorbs quickly without leaving any grease on your pillow.

Three mistakes we see a lot

1. Switching products too often. Give each product at least a month. Jumping between products every two weeks makes it impossible to know what's working.

2. Forgetting the scalp. Hair grows from the scalp. A healthy scalp gives healthy hair. Treat your scalp with the same respect you treat your face.

3. Skipping days. A good routine every other day gives worse results than a simple routine every day. Consistency beats perfection.

Product-specific tips

Hair Growth Serum
Apply to a clean, towel-dried scalp after washing - always as the last step. Part your hair into sections and use the dropper along the parting. Massage for 1-2 minutes with your fingertips. This stimulates blood circulation and helps the water-based serum absorb. Don't rinse out. It absorbs quickly and won't leave any greasy residue. Use daily.
Face Serum Apply on damp skin (right after cleansing, while the skin is still slightly wet). This helps the ingredients penetrate deeper. 3-4 drops is enough for the whole face. Pat in gently with your fingertips - don't rub.
Scalp Treatment Use 2-3 times a week. Apply to a clean scalp after washing, massage in and leave it. Don't rinse out - the treatment is water-based and absorbs quickly. A slight tingling sensation is completely normal - that's the ingredients doing their thing.
